Swedish Institute Scholarships 2024: Masters program

The Swedish Institute Scholarships 2024 for Global Professionals (SISGP) proudly presents its newly launched scholarship program, succeeding the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS). This initiative is designed to create avenues for exceptionally talented individuals to pursue master’s programs at Swedish Universities in the Autumn of 2024. The Swedish Institute Scholarships 2024 is committed to fostering the development of global leaders dedicated to contributing to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and bringing about positive change in their home countries and regions.

The Swedish Institute Scholarship is hosted by various Swedish Higher Education Institutions and Universities.

Level/Field(s) of Study:

SISGP supports full-time one or two-year Master’s Programs offered by Swedish Universities and Higher Education Institutions. The scholarship covers 700 diverse English-taught master’s programs in humanities, agriculture, medicine, natural and social sciences, and technology.

Number of Scholarships:

Around 350 scholarships will be awarded, enhancing global access to quality education.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions/Duration:

SISGP offers comprehensive support, including tuition, SEK 12,000/month living expenses, insurance, and a one-time travel grant (SEK 10,000-15,000) for international scholars. The scholarship is tailored for those undertaking full-time one-year or two-year master’s programs starting in the autumn semester.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for SISGP, applicants must:

1. Be citizens of countries eligible for SI scholarships.

2. Apply for master’s programs that meet SI scholarship criteria, with the university prioritizing certain subject areas based on the applicant’s country of citizenship.

3. Demonstrate relevant work and leadership experience from current or past employment or civil society engagement.

4. Be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities and have completed the necessary steps with University Admissions, including payment of the application fee, by 21 March 2024.
